Product Designer
About the Role
We are looking for a creative and user-focused Product Designer to design intuitive, scalable, and engaging digital experiences across our financial products. The ideal candidate will transform customer needs and business requirements into user-centred solutions that improve customer satisfaction, increase product adoption and engagement, and contribute to business growth and revenue generation.
As a Product Designer, you will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, QA Engineers, and business stakeholders to transform complex business requirements into simple, user-friendly interfaces. You will own the end-to-end design process—from discovery and research to wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity UI, and design handoff.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving real customer problems and wants to build products that serve thousands of users across payments, remittances, trade finance, and embedded financial services.
Responsibilities
- Design intuitive, user-centred experiences across Cede's mobile, web, and admin platforms.
- Transform business requirements and user needs into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitor analysis to validate design decisions and improve customer experiences.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and QA teams throughout the product development lifecycle to deliver high-quality products.
- Maintain and evolve Cede's design system, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and scalability across all products.
- Prepare design specifications, assets, and prototypes for engineering handoff, and validate implemented designs before release.
- Continuously improve product experiences using user feedback, analytics, and business insights.
- Participate in product discovery, design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and strategic product planning.
General Qualifications
- 3–4 years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a related role.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating experience designing and shipping digital products across mobile and web platforms.
- Proficiency in core product design tools such as Figma, FigJam, Lottiefiles, and prototyping tools.
- Strong understanding of user experience principles, interaction design, information architecture, and design systems.
- Experience designing fintech or financial services products is highly preferred.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements and user problems into simple, intuitive, and scalable product experiences.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and applying insights to improve product decisions.
- Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, QA, and other cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, and technical constraints.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present design decisions, gather feedback, and collaborate effectively with all stakeholders.
