Ineza Care Foundation Empowers 60 Female Students with WAEC Scholarships and Supports 100 Girls with Learning Materials at Yejide Girls Grammar School

Ibadan, Nigeria — November 10, 2025 — The Ineza Care Foundation, in partnership with Voye, a soon-to-launch cross-border payments platform by Cede, has extended educational support to students of Yejide Girls Grammar School, Molete, Ibadan, through its “Empowering Her” initiative held on Thursday, November 7, 2025.
As part of its ongoing commitment to SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality), the Foundation paid WAEC examination fees for 60 female students and distributed school bags and mathematical sets to 100 students, reducing financial and material barriers that often limit access to education for girls in underserved communities.
The 60 WAEC beneficiaries were not randomly selected but identified through a school-administered mock examination, designed to assess academic readiness and spotlight students demonstrating strong effort and potential. This approach ensured that the support rewarded merit, reinforced preparation for the upcoming exams, and encouraged a culture of excellence among the students.
“At Ineza Care Foundation, we believe that every girl deserves a fair chance to succeed. This outreach is our way of standing beside young students who are working hard despite life’s challenges. By supporting their education and providing the tools they need to learn confidently, we hope to spark hope, motivation, and a sense of possibility — because sometimes, a little support is all it takes to change a child’s story.”— Alex, Program Director for Her Initiative under Ineza Care Foundation
The “Empowering Her” initiative represents Ineza’s fourth-quarter project for 2025, dedicated to fostering inclusive learning, supporting gender equality, and promoting long-term empowerment through education.
Voye, which is being developed by Cede as a trusted and transparent remittance solution for Africans at home and abroad, supported the outreach in anticipation of its upcoming launch.
“While we’re ramping up to launch Voye, we wanted to begin by doing something meaningful — something that reflects the kind of impact we hope to have. Supporting Ineza Care Foundation’s work with young girls felt like the perfect start. We believe empowerment begins with access — and education is one of the most powerful forms of access.”— Israel Olatinsu, Chief Operating Officer, Cede
Teachers and students of Yejide Girls Grammar School expressed heartfelt appreciation for the intervention, noting that it not only eased the financial pressure on many families but also reignited the students’ confidence in their educational journeys.
The principal of the school thanked Ineza Care Foundation and its partners, describing the initiative as “a timely gift that has changed the trajectory for several of our girls.”
